Black Magic Tree Berlin’s Heavy Rock Alchemists Unveil "Terra"!

Berlin’s heavy rock alchemists Black Magic Tree are streaming their brand-new album Terra in its entirety today via It’s Psychedelic Baby Magazine, ahead of its official release tomorrow, November 28 through Majestic Mountain Records.

The site praises the band’s evolution, writing: “With years of sweat-soaked club shows behind them, Black Magic Tree’s move to Majestic Mountain Records feels like a natural evolution. It’s an underground band hitting a stride that’s ready for a larger stage.”

The band had this to say about the new effort: “This new album marks a major step forward for us. We crafted it with passion and truly enjoyed pushing genre boundaries. On ‘Terra,’ our powerful riffs, haunting hooks, and magic melodies ignite with more force than ever before.”

Formed in 2018, Black Magic Tree draw inspiration from legends like Led Zeppelin, Cream, Black Sabbath, and The Doors, while channelling the modern fire of Rival Sons, Graveyard, and Wolfmother. Their music has often been described as “elastic psychedelic hard blues through a uniquely Berlin lens”, timeless yet forward-looking.

After turning heads with their debut EP Of Animals and Men (2019) and their acclaimed full-length Through the Grapevine (2021, Karma Conspiracy Records), the band are ready to take things higher with Terra, a record that “offers an eclectic, contemporary and catchy heavy rock menu with rich flavours from the golden decades of rock music.”

Recorded and mixed by Richard Behrens (Big Snuff Studio Berlin, FOH for Kadavar/Elder), mastered by Roland “Role” Wiegner (Tonmeisterei Oldenburg), and featuring artwork by Martin Meir, Terra showcases Black Magic Tree at their most confident and inspired, channeling the timeless spirit of rock through a distinctly Berlin soul.
