Boston-based horror-inspired noise rock/punk trio MIRACLE BLOOD have released a new single and video for "Wasteland" as they prepare for their latest tour.
"Wasteland" is a previously unreleased song, recorded during the recording sessions for MIRACLE BLOOD's LP Hello Hell, which was released in November 2024. The band has been working tirelessly on the album for the past year and a half, even releasing a live recording from one of the tours, and more.
Hello Hell and the newly released song "Wasteland" were produced with Alex Allinson at The Bridge Sound & Stage (BEDTIMEMAGIC, The Freqs, Lesotho), mastered by Brad Boatright (The Armed, Sleep, Nails), and provided artwork and video by guitarist/vocalist Andrew Wong. The album’s first vinyl release has since sold out, and Hello Hell now has a second release via Nefarious Industries, on Translucent Red with Black Splatter, just in time for their new tour.
“This song is about living and dying in American consumer culture,” writes Andrew Wong of the single “Wasteland.” “It feels like we go through our whole lives with companies constantly trying to sell us something. It’s kind of a major constant throughout our lives. At different ages, we’re targeted with different things through commercials, billboards, social media ads, etc. At different times in our lives, we’re supposed to need different products, clothes, food, medicine, etc. Everywhere you look, something is trying to remind you of that. And that’s how we go through life until we die. It’s just funny to think about.”

The video for the song was directed by Wong using live footage of Señor Diablo. Wong reveals, “We shot the video on tour.” We’ve been on tour for the past year and a half since Hello Hell came out, so it’s hard to find time to shoot a video. So we decided to use the footage from the tour. The live footage is from our show at Mag Bar in Louisville last April. The rest of the footage is from the van and the food stops. We shot the eating scenes because it kind of fit the theme of the song and it also looked more interesting.”
MIRACLE BLOOD’s latest tour launches on June 19th and sees the band hammering the Northeast and Midwest states and venturing into Canada for several shows. Along the way, they’ll share the stage with The Freqs, Wanderer, Bronson Arm, Dropdead, labelmates Nequient, and many others before drawing to a close at Somergloom Fest on August 7th.
