COYOTE MAN premieres the video for the song "Zealotry"!

"Zealotry" is the latest single from Chicago instrumental power trio COYOTE MAN, coming off their massive album Prosthetic Memories, out August 14th.

Members Augie Portugal, Ian Wheeler and Rene Rodriguez have been making noise since the early 2000s, but officially formed COYOTE MAN in 2015. Together they deliver powerful riffs that are both unsettling and soothing. COYOTE MAN is a reminder that music can still be an art form that cannot easily be subordinated to the clichés of today's digital age.

"Zealotry", the second single from Prosthetic Memories, is the heaviest and most uncompromising track on the album. Driven by massive, groove-filled riffs and infectious energy, the track is built to get the crowd moving while delivering a powerful sonic impact. Its mix of memorable choruses and unrelenting heaviness make it one of the band's most impressive releases to date.

Adding another layer of atmosphere, guitarist and keyboardist, Augie Portugal, incorporates haunting synth textures that bookend the track. The eerie introduction and closing passages evoke a sense of impending collapse, whether interpreted as the dawn of an apocalypse or a descent into chaos. The result is a cinematic and unsettling backdrop that amplifies the song's central theme.

The band comments, “’Zealotry’ reflects the increasingly polarized world we inhabit, where conviction can harden into fanaticism and individuals become consumed by an endless stream of amplified opinions. Through its powerful instrumentation and dark atmosphere, the track captures the tension, division, and emotional weight of modern discourse.”

"Zealotry" will be available on all streaming services on Friday, July 24th.

Prosthetic Memories was recorded in the Summer of June and July 2025 at Iron Hand Audio in Chicago, mixed and mastered by Dan Klein, and includes guest vocals by Chris Pacific on "Faith In A Burning Room.”
