Diatom Polish post-metal band with a new single 'For Mercy'. Second album announcement!

Diatom is a polish post metal group which combines also post and prog rock to their music. The new single is announcement fot their second album.

Diatom plays a mix of post-metal, post-rock, and alt-rock. The band started as an instrumental trio in Gdańsk, Poland in 2018. They released their first mini-album, "Diatom," a year later. In 2021, vocalist Michał Kulniew joined the group. Together, they recorded the album "Sól," which came out in 2022 under Lynx Music. The album featured the singles ‘Burza’ and ‘Na Skraju'.

The single ‘For Mercy’ is a cry for peace and a story about trying to overcome human nature. When that fails, all that’s left is waiting for death. The song comes with a music video created by Filip Musiatowicz

The song ‘For Mercy’ is the first look at the band's second album. New album “Low Light” is set to be released in March 2026.
