Electric Jaguar Baby - French Fuzz-Rock Duo Drop New Video for “HowNow”

Parisian fuzz fanatics Electric Jaguar Baby return with a brand new video for “Hownow,” taken from the band’s latest album Clair-Obscur, released last September via Majestic Mountain Records.

Nine months after the release cycle for Clair-Obscur first began, “Hownow” emerges as a true fight song, a raw, mid-tempo blast of post-punk attitude and grunge-soaked hooks that feels pulled straight from the golden age of the 90s. Built around pounding rhythms, fuzz-drenched guitars, and a thick bassline rumbling like an old Buick cruising down the Pacific Coast Highway, the track delivers exactly what Electric Jaguar Baby do best: simple, loud, effective rock music with undeniable groove and attitude.

Lyrically, “Hownow” reflects on modern society and the struggle of navigating everyday life, matching its themes of frustration and perseverance with riffs that hit with both force and immediacy.

Formed in 2015, Electric Jaguar Baby is the fuzz-fueled duo of Franck (drums/vocals) and Antoine (guitar/vocals), blending garage rock, stoner rock, punk, psych, and overdriven heavy rock into a wild and explosive sound entirely their own.

What began as a fiercely DIY operation quickly evolved into a relentless touring machine, with the band releasing music consistently while carving out a reputation across Europe through sweat-soaked live performances and a no-frills commitment to volume and energy. Along the way, EJB have shared stages with acts such as Death Valley Girls, LA Witch, Nashville Pussy, Church of Misery, Sepultura, Brant Bjork, and Alain Johannes, while also appearing at major festivals including Hellfest and Sylak Open Air.

After releasing their debut full-length through Slice Of Wax Records in 2019, the duo expanded their sound during the pandemic years, resulting in Psychic Death Safari, released by Ripple Music in 2022 to widespread acclaim and multiple vinyl pressings.

With Clair-Obscur, Electric Jaguar Baby continue pushing their sound forward while staying true to the fuzz-drenched chaos that defines them. The album captures a band growing sharper, louder, and more confident with every release, turning their amplifiers, and ambitions, permanently to maximum.

2026 will also mark ten years of Electric Jaguar Baby on the road, with a new European tour already in the works to celebrate a decade of fuzz, sweat, and volume.
