Electric Valley Records presents LØVEGOD, a devastating split album that unites two heavyweights of the Northern German underground: Lübeck’s post-hardcore/noise rock radicals Love•Love•Love and Kiel’s doom/sludge merchants Ølgod. Born out of a long-standing friendship and a shared passion for uncompromising sonics, this release is a clash of two distinct heavy styles. Together, LØVEGOD is a dual-force assault of raw energy, shifting dynamics, and absolute volume. The split, released on 25 September 2026, is available on vinyl and digital formats via Electric Valley Records, while a limited run of cassettes is handled via Evil Noise Recordings.
Love knows no boundaries and Love•Love•Love certainly knows no musical ones. Formed in Lübeck in late 2023, the quartet delivers a fierce, uncompromising mix of noise, post-hardcore, and sludge. Driven by a socially critical and staunchly anti-fascist stance, the band pummels their way through dissonant riffs, frantic tempo changes, and crushing, atmospheric abysses. Following their 2024 debut tape, First Love, a brutal declaration of love to the underground, Love•Love•Love continues to channel pure, unfiltered rage. They prove that sometimes radical love requires a deafening wall of sound. All you need is LOVE•LOVE•LOVE.
Both bands will share the stage at LØVEGOD OVER LÜBECK on 28 November 2026.
On the split LØVEGOD, Love•Love•Love brings their rogue aggression and dense collection of sonic artillery to churn out unhinged energy from the first second to the last, but amidst all the loudness and grittiness, there remain fluid and mesmerizing passages, moving back and forth between delicacy and obscurity, on the synth-enhanced track “2246,”
Formed in 2020, Ølgod is a three-piece doom/sludge band from Kiel, Germany. Bereft of beautiful guitar solos and sophisticated song structures, Ølgod is all about riffin’ your ass off with their signature blend of sludge, doom, and grunge! Guitarist Hannes and drummer Jan know each other from playing together in the stoner band Pfund and have been jammin’ on sludgy riffs for a while before they found Fynn, whose nasty vocals were the only thing missing to bring Ølgod to life. In 2022, they released their debut tape on Ogorecords, which was later repressed on Evil Noise Recordings in 2024.
With 4 songs clocking in at just under 21 minutes, Ølgod’s side of the split shows how they have evolved since their last release in 2022 while still staying true to their signature sound. The album is characterized by high dynamics and the deliberate use of genre contrasts. On the opening track, “Leeches,” the gritty screams and the clean, melodic guest vocals by Jan Moritz Plewka complement each other perfectly, pushing each other to new heights in a constant back-and-forth. From high-tempo sludge parts and sluggish, disharmonious riffs to slow, bone-crushing doom sections and even murky black metal furies, it’s all in there.
