Exorcizphobia return with their fifth full-length album, Neurosis Unbound, out now through Doomentia Records and DTD Records in Japan. Formed in Trutnov in 2005, the Czech band have built their sound on classic thrash speed and precision, hardcore urgency, and a sharper modern edge. This new record pushes that approach into darker, more introspective territory.
Musically, Neurosis Unbound brings together thrash metal intensity, punk and hardcore drive, and the heavy weight of 1990s alternative music. Across nine tracks, the album moves through tension, melancholy, and release without losing the directness that has defined the band from the start. Compared to the material on About Us Without Us, these songs feel more layered, more personal, and more inward-looking.
Lyrically, the album deals with addiction, fractured relationships, personal decay, self-therapy, and the burden of human existence. Tomas Skorepa describes it as a personal confession that also reflects the state of the world around us. The philosophical undertone of the record draws in part from Arthur Schopenhauer, with the songs focusing less on resolution than on the struggle itself.

Neurosis Unbound was recorded at Golden Hive Studio in Prague with producer and sound engineer Amak Golden, whose previous work includes Killing Joke and High on Fire. The album was produced by Amak Golden and Tomas Skorepa, and mastered by Amak Golden. The cover artwork was created by Michel "Away" Langevin of Voivod, whose visual style fits the album's psychological and dystopian atmosphere.
The release follows the band's Andel 2023 award for Spiritual Exodus. Exorcizphobia have toured across Europe and shared stages with Voivod, Exhorder, Napalm Death, Exodus, D.R.I., and Artillery, while also appearing at festivals such as Brutal Assault, Obscene Extreme, Mystic Festival, Tolminator, and Czech Death Fest.
