Harvey Rushmore & The Octopus objavljuju novi mračni Psych-Kraut album ‘Mindsuckers’!

After three albums and years of touring across Europe, the Basel-based quartet returns with a new sonic direction. While their 2022 record Freedomspacecake leaned toward sunny surf-psych textures, the new album Mindsuckers dives into darker, more ominous territory without losing the band’s signature kraut-infused psychedelic sound.

Basel’s psychedelic garage visionaries HARVEY RUSHMORE & THE OCTOPUS return with force: marks the release of their brand-new single and music video “Acid River.” The track offers a first, electrifying glimpse into the sonic universe of their upcoming Album Mindsuckers (2026), set to be released on Taxi Gauche Records.

With “Acid River,” the band dives deep into a hypnotic, swirling soundscape—driven by pulsating percussion, distorted guitars, and an overwhelming sense of cinematic tension. The single captures the band’s trademark blend of raw energy, psychedelia, and dystopian storytelling, evoking visions of disintegrating realities and dreamlike landscapes.

 Just last year, HARVEY RUSHMORE & THE OCTOPUS took their Album "Freedomspacecake" on a high-energy European tour, filling venues with their explosive psychedelic/garage rock sound. After a brief creative pause, the Basel-based band is back—sharper and bolder—with their new Album Mindsuckers (2026), set to be released on Taxi Gauche Records.

 Where Freedomspacecake opened the door to their cosmic, fuzz-driven universe, Mindsuckers steps fully into a darker, dystopian realm. The Album blends catchy hooks with wild improvisational bursts, creating a sonic tension that mirrors the turbulence of the present day. It is a soundtrack made to shake off numbness and jolt listeners awake.
