Heretic was made fast, at a difficult moment, with Zoltán “Zoli” Farkas walking into Antfarm Studio carrying more weight than a release schedule. He arrived with a small set of unfinished ideas, and with Tue Madsen he turned them into a full Ektomorf album in a short, focused run. The record is out now via Bleeding Nose Records.
That album is Heretic, released on October 24, 2025 via Bleeding Nose Records. It was produced by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studio in Denmark, and it was written and finished in a short, focused stretch. Farkas came in with five unfinished song ideas, and the rest was built from there, day by day, inside the studio.
Heretic goes back to the roots of Ektomorf , the part longtime fans love most, and keeps the focus on that hard, groove-driven weight. Musically, the setup is part of the story. The guitars were tracked in Drop-B and Drop-A, with a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier used during the recordings.
Heretic is available on digital and across several physical editions: CD (digipak), splatter vinyl, coloured cassette, and a limited wooden box with exclusive content.
