Swedish doom collective Hexjakt have unveiled a brand new video for “Void Throne,” taken from their crushing debut album Blessing of the Damned, released on December 1st via Majestic Mountain Records.
The record was met with widespread critical acclaim. Decibel Magazine, for instance, praised the album, saying: “Hexjakt means ‘witch hunt’ in Swedish and these bearded badasses are providing the soundtrack to a good ol’ fashioned witch burning on their rumbling, lumbering full-length debut, Blessing of the Damned. The eight crushing tracks all clock in well over five minutes and are bleak doomscapes of dread and darkness.”
Formed in 2024, Hexjakt channel the spirit of classic doom into something distinctly their own, fusing colossal riffs, suffocating atmospheres, and introspective themes exploring the occult, human frailty, and the unknown.
Their early releases quickly earned praise for their depth and intensity, and the band’s live performances have already built a reputation for being both punishing and hypnotic, pulling listeners into a world of gloom and monolithic power.
