Aussie thrash stalwarts IN MALICE'S WAKE have announced the impending release of their long-awaited fifth studio album, The Profound Darkness.

Where previous albums have all progressively stepped downward into darker and more brutal territory over the years, The Profound Darkness conjures a demonic presence that feels closer than ever before. This album is an exploration of the darkness that awaits us all beyond the grave - a journey through the various forms that the great unknown may take, told through a collection of 9 carefully crafted stories.  

An infernal blend of Death and Blackened Thrash metal, IN MALICE'S WAKE continue to prioritize crafting songs that stand the test of time - songs that speak with a haunting, iconic and truly recognizable voice. 

IN MALICE'S WAKE calls the album a tribute to all the incredible people who have supported the band globally over the previous quarter of a century. 

The Profound Darkness is due out on May 1.
