Ingrina releases her new album on Friday, February 13th!

It's the final stretch for Ingrina, a true standard-bearer of the French post-metal/post-hardcore scene, and one of my personal favorites! The quintet from Tulle (19) will be back in 10 days, on Friday, February 13th, with their new album! Ready to make waves on Medication Time Records and À Tant Rêver Du Roi (pre-orders open), Nåværende Lyssees the Corrèze (center of France) natives pushing their boundaries once again. And I can attest that it's definitely the best in terms of intense, heavy, and adventurous music. Five long years after Siste Lys, here is the conclusion to the conceptual trilogy initiated by Etter Lys in 2018. The quintet presents it as a "metaphorical narrative, completing a geological cycle where life forms have survived drowning, petrification, and then uprooting". It is also, and more than ever, a celebration of Ingrina's DIY mentality, who made the bold choice not to release a single track beforehand. Highly recommended for fans of Year Of No Light, Cult Of Luna, and Russian Circles.

Ingrina is the name of a memory. The one linked to a feeling of vital ecstasy that this civilization tries to erase from the living. It is also the name of an escape. The one that rushes toward less hostile otherworlds where time is transcended. Ingrina is the flickering form taken by the experience of a desertion that is always unfinished but so desperately desired. Stratifying their sounds like geological layers: a drum kit traces the tectonic movement, three guitars overlap until their outlines blur, a bass vibrates the buried strata, and voices emerge like distant echoes from a world that does not exist. Ingrina is an attempt to give voice to the melancholy trapped between all that is collapsing and all that is beginning to emerge.
