Swedish doom outfit LASER DRACUL have just released a new single titled “Walking the Left Hand Path,” taken from their forthcoming full-length Hin Håle Blues, due out October 30 via Majestic Mountain Records.
Heavy, ominous and steeped in the darkness of their native Dalarna, “Walking the Left Hand Path” sees LASER DRACUL summon the crushing riffs, blues-soaked grooves and sinister psychedelic atmosphere that run through the heart of their new record.
Hailing from Borlänge in Sweden’s historic Dalarna region, LASER DRACUL have been carving out their own corner of the heavy underground since 2015. Following their self-titled EP and acclaimed 2020 debut album Hagridden, the band now return with a record that pushes their sound deeper into doom, heavy rock, blues and dark psychedelia.
Taking its title from “Hin Håle,” an old Swedish term for the Devil, the new album draws heavily upon the folklore, superstition and darker traditions surrounding the band's homeland.
Hin Håle Blues arrives October 30 via Majestic Mountain Records, pre-orders are now available at this location.
Across Hin Håle Blues, massive, monolithic riffs collide with blues-drenched grooves and eerie psychedelic passages, channelling the primal power of classic doom while allowing LASER DRACUL's own strange and distinctly Scandinavian character to rise to the surface.
Recorded, mixed and mastered by Jonas Arnberg at Sellnoise Studio, Hin Håle Blues was written entirely by LASER DRACUL, with artwork created by Andreas “Punkarn” Bustad.
