Los Angeles Ski Witch Doom Trio PEGLA Shares Single and Video "Chelsea"!

Los Angeles heavy rock rebels PEGZILLA release the rowdy new "Chelsea" single and video taken from their forthcoming debut album "Disobedience", to be released October 3rd on Ripple Music. Their East Coast summer tour starts next week!

If Sabbath got hexed by a riot grrrl and dragged through the desert at midnight, you would get PEGZILLA. The heavy rock three-piece out of Los Angeles, California, features Olivia Saperstein on vocals and guitars, Juan Barsse on bass, and Ryan Swain on drums. With hints of doom metal, psych and even punk rock, it’s hard to fit this rowdy trio into a tidy box. Instead, label them one thing: LOUD.

The raucous trio recently inked a worldwide deal with Californian powerhouse Ripple Music for the impending CD and digital release of their debut full-length Disobedience in the fall. PEGZILLA is gearing up to prove that raw rock fury isn't dead, as shown by their latest singles Virginia Werewolf and Bootlicker! 

As a blazing warm-up to the upcoming sonic delivery, the band is gearing up for a short East Coast tour, kicking off this September 2nd:

Pegzilla is a heavy rock trio from Los Angeles, a powerful and rebellious force in the L.A. music scene featuring Olivia Saperstein (guitar, vocals), Ryan Swain (drums), and Juan Barsse (bass). Their sound is a heavy blend of stoner metal and desert rock. They describe their style as "witchy stoner rock", aiming to create a dark, spellcasting atmosphere with a vengeful edge through a sound that's seductive but also intentionally uncomfortable. Lyrically, the band is unapologetically assertive. As a woman in a male-dominated genre, Olivia Saperstein crafts lyrics that criticize patriarchal power structures and act as a "seductive call to take the power back". Her mission is clear: to highlight the presence of women in heavy music and advocate for more representation on festival lineups and in the press.
