Polish neo folk / folk metal band Lyrre has become one of the Europes most interesting folk metal acts after the release of band's debut album. Now the band continue their path with the third single and prepares to relase their second full album in May.
Lyrre combines the organic sound of the hurdy-gurdy with metal riffs and clean vocals. The group's music oscillates around dark alternative music, prioritizing authenticity over stylistic simplifications.
The group debuted in 2023 with an album featuring production collaboration from Noah Sebastian of Bad Omens on selected tracks. The release led to dozens of concerts across Poland and Europe, establishing the band’s position within the neofolk and metal scenes.
'Ephemeral' is a composition that introduces a sense of stillness, serving as a unique point on Lyrre's new release. The track is built upon subtle vocal parts conveying a narrative on the inevitability of passing. The centerpiece of the song is a trance-like hurdy-gurdy solo that dominates the arrangement, building tension and leading gradually toward a majestic final chorus. The piece maintains a melancholic character, focusing on the authentic, organic sound of the instrument.
Currently, Lyrre is preparing for the release of their second album, "Nothing Is Promised", which will be released on May 7, 2026.

Michalina Malisz-Martuś – Vocals, hurdy-gurdy
