STONUS returns with their second album "Space to Dive"

After the recent release of the music video for the song Hope Dose, Mediterranean heavy rock stars STONUS return with their second album "Space to Dive". This concept album explores inner awareness, intuition and self-transformation through impressive soundscapes and contrasting dynamics, mixing massive grooves with progressive and introspective elements. Recorded with Johnny S.A. (ex-1000mods) and mastered by legendary engineer Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, QOTSA, Metallica, Kyuss, Deftones), "Space to Dive" shows the fiery quintet at the height of their creativity - a must-listen for fans of Stoned Jesus, 1000mods and Nightstalker.

It will be released on March 20 via Ripple Music.

Active since 2015 and with a sound described by Metal Hammer as "Mediterranean fuzzed-up heavy rock", STONUS are steadily building their presence across Europe with a raw, high-energy live show and a DIY work ethic. This drive has made them the most internationally active Cypriot rock band today.

STONUS’ acclaimed debut album "Aphasia" found life in 2020 through Electric Valley Records and Daredevil Records, earning its place in various end-of-the-year lists within the heavy/stoner rock scene, with over 100K streams on Spotify so far. This was shortly followed by their 2021 EP "Seance", also released through Electric Valley Records. In 2024, their live studio session LP "Live in Zen" was released via Ouga Booga and the Mighty Oug and Electric Valley Records. The album features a selection of tracks from their previous LP and EPs, recorded in a live setting to capture the heavier, more dynamic sound of their recent performances.

Their anticipated sophomore album "Space to Dive" is planned for a spring 2026 release on Californian label Ripple Music. It was recorded at Wreck it Sound Studios (1000Mods, Nightstalker, Godsleep) and mastered by the legendary Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Deftones, Soundgarden). Inspired by the torus field — the visual representation of sound, energy, and atomic vibration — "Space to Dive" explores the continuous flow between the inner self and the universe. Despite the challenges of being spread across three countries whilst touring and working simultaneously, the realisation of this concept proved essential to the band. "Space to Dive" stands as both a personal reckoning and a universal exploration - an invitation to dive inwards to better understand the whole.

Over the years, STONUS has supported heavy rock pillars 1000mods, Truckfighters, Planet of Zeus, and Mars Red Sky on selected dates of their European tours. Later in 2025, STONUS headlined Electric Valley Festival (IT) and appeared at Truckghters’ Fuzz Festival (SE). They have previously headlined Berlin Swamp Fest (DE), and have performed at other European festivals such as Westill Festival (FR), Riffolution Festival (UK), and SoundArt Festival (RO).
