The 30th anniversary edition of the album "Be A Vegetable" by Drive Blind!

30th Anniversary Edition of Drive Blind's "Be A Vegetable" Album!

Thirty years ago, one of the masterpieces of Drive Blind's discography was released: "Be A Vegetable".

Before "crashing the car", the blind driver absorbed the best of the music of the era: the grunge energy of the bands Tad, Nirvana and Mudhoney and the ferocity of the Riot Grrrl movement, represented by the bands L7 and Babies in Toyland. In his rock style of the nineties, he introduced a strong dose of electric sound, similar to that of the bands Helmet or Jesus Lizard.

David Weber, sound engineer at Forces Motrices studio in Geneva, worked on the remastering of this key album of the French scene in 2016. It was he who originally recorded and mastered the material 30 years ago. While going through the original tapes, he rediscovered a previously unreleased composition - a song recorded at the time that was not included on the album. The band members even forgot she existed!

On this double vinyl release, in addition to a "ghost track" (so-called ghost track) in which the band members swapped instruments, you will also find a rare track that was originally released only on the mini-CD distributed with the album at the time.

Seeds sprouted from the rotten vegetables on the cover, and one of them is the publishing house Head Records. It seemed only natural that this particular house should take on this vinyl reissue.
