Six months after the release of their debut album COSMIC MOTHER, the stoner rockers’ new single Giant Hazeis now seeing the light of day. Here, the four musicians from Kiel remain true to themselves, presenting us with powerful, honest yet tongue-in-cheek stoner rock with a 90s vibe.
The influences of psychedelic rock and grunge are just as noticeable as an emotional intensity that lends the song depth. The song was once again recorded live (drums and bass) to capture the right groove.
Thematically, we find ourselves once again in a personal story about ‘carrying on with the art’ – even after bitter losses. Because even when we want to let go of people and things, our emotions don’t manage it so easily or automatically. Memories influence us consciously and subconsciously and can open a deep hole from which there seems to be no escape. But it does exist: healing!
Giant Haze was founded in 2024 in Kiel, northern Germany – born from the raw energy of the stoner rock and hardcore scene. Originally formed to play Kyuss tribute concerts, the band has developed into a force in its own right, channeling the spirit of the heavy fuzz era of the 90s with a sound that speaks to both mind and body.
Their debut album, "COSMIC MOTHER", was released in August 2025 on TONZONEN RECORDS and received positive feedback from the international stoner/doom/psychedelic community.
