With 'Santa Somnia', Kröwnn evolve their sonic identity: classic and thrash metal accents intertwine with the gravity of doom metal, alongside melodic punk rock nuances. The result is a sound that conveys the emotional instability and mental agony at the heart of the concept, alternating moments of claustrophobic oppression with outbursts of chaotic despair.
Kröwnn release 'Santa Somnia', their fourth studio album, on February 13th, 2026 via Subsound Records.

The result is a sound that conveys the emotional instability and mental agony at the heart of the concept, alternating moments of claustrophobic oppression with outbursts of chaotic despair.
'Santa Somnia' is a trip inside a disintegrated psyche. An imaginary saint drags the protagonist through a crumbling world where nightmare and reality collide. The album's cryptic narrative draws inspiration from FromSoftware's 'Souls' series videogames ('Dark Souls', 'Bloodborne', 'Elden Ring') and the darkness of Kentaro Miura's manga 'Berserk', translating into music themes of desperation, delirium, and the struggle against madness induced by sleep deprivation.
The album thus becomes an allegory of the loss of hope and the weight of adulthood, up to the ambiguous echo — at times redemptive — of death.

BIOGRAPHY
Kröwnn were formed in Venice in 2012 by Michele Carnielli (vocals, guitar) and Silvia Rossato (bass), inspired by a Pentagram concert. With Elena Fiorenzano on drums, they released their debut 'Hyborian Age' (2013, PRC Music), a concept album dedicated to the 'Conan the Barbarian' saga, followed by 'Magmafrost' (2015, Taxi Driver Records), featuring a darker sound inspired by the fantasy tales of Robert E. Howard, Michael Moorcock, and George R. R. Martin. Numerous shows across Italy and tours in Austria, Switzerland, and Germany followed, sharing the stage with Yob, Pallbearer, Zodiac, and Red Fang, and performing at several European festivals. In 2017, the lineup expanded with Nicola Bordignon (guitar), with whom the band recorded 'Bluedeep' (2019, Jetglow Records), a concept album connected to the abyss and Venetian imagery. In 2022, Mimmo Bennici replaced Elena Fiorenzano on drums, contributing to the evolution of the sound that culminates in 'Santa Somnia' (2026, Subsound Records), where thrash and classic metal influences intertwine with dark and dreamlike lyrics.
