Lisbon-based experimental quartet Black Pig Meat have unveiled the video for “Sizo”, premiering today at It’s Psychedelic Baby! Magazine. The track is taken from their forthcoming debut album, Symbiotic Dream, set for release on December 15 via Raging Planet Records.
Formed in 2022, Black Pig Meat originally emerged as a high-voltage power trio featuring guitarist Marcelo dos Reis, drummer Tiago Vaz, and bassist Pedro Lameira. After years of informal musical explorations, their instinctive chemistry led naturally toward the creation of a full-length record. The addition of keyboardist André Duarte expanded the group’s sonic palette, introducing new harmonic depth and atmospheric textures that now form the backbone of their distinctive identity.
With Symbiotic Dream, Black Pig Meat channel a potent blend of psychedelic and alternative rock, jazz-fusion dynamism, and improvisational ferocity. While the music often spirals into frenetic terrain, the band maintains a sense of coherence and emotional clarity, balancing raw energy with melodic intention.
“Sizo,” now accompanied by a visually arresting music video, encapsulates this duality. The track moves between restraint and eruption, weaving poetic motifs through dense, cosmic soundscapes. The video’s surreal imagery enhances the dreamlike quality of the song, creating an immersive experience that mirrors the band’s exploratory approach.
The upcoming album represents the culmination of a creative cycle that began in 2022 and marks the starting point for an ambitious next phase. Black Pig Meat made their live debut in 2023 and are now preparing for extensive touring throughout 2026, bringing the material from Symbiotic Dream into a full live context.
Intense yet intricately composed, Symbiotic Dream showcases a band that moves fluidly between musical worlds while remaining firmly anchored in improvisation and experimental expression.
