i Helvete release new single “Nälkätalvi” ahead of upcoming album "Halla"!

Melodic black metal band i Helvete have released “Nälkätalvi”, the first single from their upcoming third album, Halla, due out November 6th, 2026.

The upcoming album features contributions from a number of session musicians, who brought additional instrumentation to the recording process and expanded its arrangements while maintaining its focus on heaviness.

The songs on Halla were completed in 2024, but line-up changes that year delayed the production and release of the album.

i Helvete is a Finnish melodic black/death metal band formed in 2018 in the city of Seinäjoki. The band is known for their combination of raw, cold black metal riffs, choral synthesizers, elements of classical orchestration, and the accessibility of modern extreme metal.

Their musical signature combines harsh male vocals with occasional guest female vocals, as well as the introduction of instruments such as piano and accordion. The main themes of their songs, which they perform in Finnish, revolve around nature, humanity, and darkness.

During 2024, the band underwent some changes in their permanent lineup, which temporarily put new material on hold. Despite administrative and organizational challenges, they released the single "Nälkätalvi" in August 2026 and announced the release of their third studio album, titled Halla, scheduled for November 6, 2026.
