Heavier-than-thou doom units MALEMORT and CERBÈRE premiere epic split album "Aimless/Glace Mère" in full; out December 5th on LP & digital! French doom metal units MALEMORT and CERBÈRE team up with Doomed & Stoned to present their gargantuan and spine-shivering split album “Aimless/Glace Mère”, ahead of its official release this December 5th on vinyl and digital formats.
"Two massive tracks that are simply monstrous in every way. You don’t even need the lyrics to feel each track deeply in your gut. Epic and laden in raw human emotion." - Doomed & Stoned
"Two wonderful tracks, monolithic sagas that are wondrous to explore." - Nine Hertz
Sorrow, gravity and deafening vibrations: it is the quest for total darkness that has brought French doom metal trios Malemort and Cerbère together. This unholy alliance marks the return of Malemort's void-cold dissonance and a new incarnation of Cerbère's disillusioned yet melody-driven firepower.
Malemort's A-side "Aimless" stretches into a blackened 18-minute vision of a chaotic future, while Cerbère's B-side "Glace Mère" takes us into 16 minutes of the coldest and most epic of landscapes. In a world riven by violence, these complementary and devastatingly crushing explorations of low-frequency and discord fuse into a bleak, singular yet vitally worthy sonic answer.
The vinyl will be issued via Rope or Guillotine, La Harelle, Arsenic Solaris and Chien Noir.

Born in 2015 from the ashes of Fatum Elisum, (The True) Malemort is the slowest entity of Rouen-based collective La Harelle. It brings together Aosin (Mhönos, Trivisa) on bass and vocals, Ausrah (Ataraxie, ex-Fatum Elisum) on guitar and vocals, and Nemri (Sordide, Buñuel, ex-Monarch) on drums and vocals. In 2017, the trio released "Individualism, Narcissism, Hedonism" on New Jersey label Prison Tatt Records, followed by a release via Taiwan's Bad Moon Rising. It was praised by US website No Clean Singing for its "chaotic vision that oscillates between dissonant impassivity and violent outbursts". After sharing the stage with the likes of Cough, Verdun, Chrch, Fange, Behold the Monolith, and Year of No Light, and an appearance at Visions Festival in 2019, Malemort found the perfect sonic partner in Cerbère to share their first split release, while completing their sophomore album, set to be released in 2026.
Parisian trio Cerbère draws inspiration from all things brutal, primitive, noisy, and abrasive in riff-driven music. After releasing their eponymous debut EP in 2021, they followed up with the album “Cendre,” released on Chien Noir in 2023. The following year, they traveled to England for a few dates and continued to tour extensively in France. Heavily influenced by the sludge and doom scene of the 90s, charged with punk energy, these hellhounds don't shy away from infusing their filthy and despairing sound with a dose of psychedelia. Their split record with Malemort exemplifies this approach. Recorded live in one day, this epic sixteen-minute track inspired by Moorcock’s literature, takes the listener to the far reaches of an eternally frozen world. To be continued...
